Jon Swartwout learned to oil paint from his grandfather while growing up on Peck's Lake, NY. Jon continued to excel as an artist throughout high school and college. At age 23, he began focusing on rustic artwork and shortly there after began making rustic furniture. Jon is an avid trout fishermen and often uses images from his fishing trips in the Adirondacks as inspiration for his paintings. He continues to live and work in Johnstown N.Y. and has recently renovated an old barn into his woodworking shop.
